SEO & The Yellow Pages
How worried are you about SEO in your content? If you are losing sleep over where you come up in a Google search for keywords, please stop, take a breath, and think about this:
Say you are a lawyer. And say it is 1992. Do you want a client who finds you by looking under “L” in the Yellow Pages?
If your answer is no (or hell no), then it doesn’t matter where you come up in a Google keyword search in 2025.
Concentrate on writing content that will appeal to your audience (well-written content has what I call “natural SEO,” and that’s enough if your business model isn’t based on cold lead generation). If your answer is “What’s the Yellow Pages?” then, well, oy.
Before you create content of any kind (or, better, hire someone to create it for you), ask yourself how it feeds your business model and what you hope to achieve.
